One thing that has always driven me crazy is the people who pretend that life is perfect. I've seen it a lot, and I'm sure that you have, too. You know how it goes. Everything is all rosy until you find out that they've gone nuts. Left their families. Been issued a DUI.
They try to hide even that, too.
Maybe they end up in an intervention... or just going back to pretending.
Not the way to live, though, is it?
Some days are really tough. You find out something has happened with one of your kids. You learn that your work life is about to change... and not for the better. Health issues.
"Sometimes," as Ox says in "While You Were Sleeping," "Life is a pain in the a**."
What really matters, though, is how you respond when it is.
Every twist and turn in life is an opportunity. And that's not just doublespeak, it's the truth. It's a chance to stare your challenges right in the face and decide how you will respond. Will you face the resistance and overcome it? Or will it overcome you?
That's how you really make a difference in your own life, and in the lives of those you care about.
So, when the going gets tough, refocus. Remember what you care most about. Make it your focus and go over, around, or through whatever it is that's keeping you from your objective.
Become what you most desire...
