Finding ways to grow

Earl Nightingale has had a profound impact on my life. Back in the late '80s, I discovered his classic audio album "Lead the Field". He taught me so much. I learned from him and grew. I listened over and over again. I grew a lot.

One of Earl's favorite topics is education. He often would say that too many of us have the "vaccination view" of education: once you're out of school, you figure you've learned and you're done with education.

Nothing is farther from the truth.

Education is a lifetime journey. Once you leave school, though, it's up to YOU. Most of time time, you don't learn how to do that from school. Someone has to show you how to keep learning and take on your own education. Decide what is important, how you can build on your strengths, and go learn it.

So, I did. I took on his challenge of life-long learning.

Have YOU?

There are many ways you can learn and grow. Great books. Audio programs. Video. Seminars and conferences. Lots of good stuff to learn.

There's some junk out there, too. But that's no reason to stop.

Keep learning. That's the only way you can grow.

You are either growing or you are dying. There is no other option. You can't stay the same. Every living thing is either growing or dying.

Let's go!
