Yesterday, I spoke here in Rwanda. I visited one of the churches here in Kigali, this one under a tent on a hillside near Embassy Row. Perhaps 200 or 300 people gathered under the tent, singing songs and dancing. They began gathering around 9am, and kept coming until 11 or so. Song and dance, prayer and sharing, bright smiles lighting up dark faces.
I shared a message with them for about half an hour, translated into Kinyarwandan, their native language. I wanted them to understand the power of their thoughts and how it impacts their faith. Of course, their faith impacts what they do.
Using the scripture, I showed them that "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." Our thoughts frame what we do and who we are.
Their only limitations are those they create in their thinking.
YOUR only limitation are those YOU create in YOUR thinking.
Take your thoughts captive. Do not allow thoughts that do not serve you to find a home in your mind.
Be deliberate in your thoughts. Scripture admonishes us to "take every thought captive."
Thoughts matter, and YOU control YOUR thoughts.
What are you thinking about?
